CHATTANOOGA, TN (January 27, 2016) – A newly recapitalized Chattanooga company, En3rgy, LLC, has purchased the national consulting practice of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Consulting (EES) as of January 2016. Through this strategic acquisition and the additions of new senior managers, En3rgy will leverage the energy knowledge base within this community and enhance those skills in its franchise territories.
“Thanks to the presence of partners like TVA, TVPPA, EPB, The City of Chattanooga and Oak Ridge National Labs, and our applied electrical and energy efficiency skills, the Tennessee Valley is a recognized epicenter of the talent our economy needs now,” said CEO Dan LeVan.
As the nation pursues the twin goals of energy independence and climate resilience, En3rgy develops projects that make solid financial sense while reducing risk, dependency, and pollution. Its commercial and industrial projects range from $5,000 to $10 million, deploying customized solutions that typically provide a return on investment of 20% or better.
“We have some projects where up to 70% of the capital cost is paid through grants, and others funded through power purchase agreements (PPAs), costing our clients nothing while reducing their utility costs. En3rgy has broad and deep experience in understanding the rules of engagement for energy projects involving various industries, utilities, regions and states.”
En3rgy will be poised to expand its franchise model and to service national clients with its enhanced management team. EES has operated in Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts and Georgia, with its headquarters in Chattanooga’s INCubator. The team plans to open new locations in critical markets of North America and the United Kingdom.
