When It Comes To Energy Efficiency, The New England Patriots Have Already Won The Bowl
The Patriots work hard to conserve energy.
Sick and tired of hearing about the “Deflategate” drama? So are we. Thankfully we’ve got some great news that has all of us at EES Consulting in Metrowest Massachusetts beaming with pride: the Patriots have been named this year’s Efficiency Bowl winner!
The Efficiency Bowl, created by software company Opower, examines the performance of both teams in 11 different categories to determine who is the most energy efficient. This was clearly a tough matchup because both cities boast impressive energy efficiency statistics. However, it was the New England Patriots who took home the win, defeating the reigning Efficiency Bowl champs, the Seattle Seahawks. Here’s how our beloved team scored the winning points:
According to the table below, the match was almost dead even considering Seattle’s fantastic efficiency measures. So how did Opower choose the winner? According to The Huffington Post, “The researchers [at Opower]chose to weight energy efficiency heavily in their analysis, reasoning that efficiency is the ‘cheapest and cleanest energy resource.’ With this in mind, New England won categories 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 10…achieving a 6-5 victory.” Take a look at how we crushed the competition:
We think it’s important to note that Opower correctly predicted the Seahawks victory in the 2014 Super Bowl and they predicted that Germany would win the 2014 World Cup. Let’s hope this win leads to an even bigger win on Sunday! GO PATS!!
